Who am I?

Hi there, and welcome to my world. My name is Zosia Fae, and I’d love to be friends with you. So here’s a little about me: I started in the theatre when I was 7 and did mostly acting on stage. I also did behind the scenes tasks, such as assisting with set design and costume design in college.

I began dancing in college and had taken several years of ballet, as well as contemporary, West African, and Middle Eastern. After completing my undergrad, I decided to strike out on my own with Middle Eastern (you’ll also hear it called raqs sharqi or “bellydance”. So I left home right? I was gone for several years, and have performed mostly solo, some with traveling dance companies. I loved dancing at festivals, it was my jam. I have also had the amazing opportunity to study with dancers from around the world, including Irina Akulenko and Kaeshi Chai from NYC, Belladonna from Washington DC, Morgana from Spain, and Ruby Jazayre (my first!) from my home in South Bend, Indiana.

Now, I teach in South Bend and Chicago, and love to travel the world to dance and study. I am also the director of a Dark Fusion Belly Dance troupe called The Changelings, and I love bringing dancers from all over the world to meet and create a safe, tight community. I always wanted one and it took me a long time to find my people, so I hope I can inspire you to find yours.

I would love to connect with you someday and be part of your journey, so let’s talk!
